Solstice
When winter comes
The fire grows warmer
The snow bells tingle
Frosting panes
When winter comes.
The fire grows warmer
Sun-god defeated
The slaving hearth beams
With new found surrender
The fire grows warmer.
The snow bells tingle
Around ruddy cheeked children
Cool beams beckon
The new born sun-child
The snow bells tingle
Frosting panes
Glistening, glistening
The fire grows warmer
The wind thunders freely
Frosting panes
When winter comes.

i am a huge fan of repetition so this really worked for me... great write!!!!
I like the movement in this - and the words are superb...
I liked the way you used repitition in this and I particulary liked this phrase
Sun-god defeated
Very nice read, i can feel the fire growing warmer....
I also like the repetition in this, and its use in movement from one stanza to the next....
