Want to come play with poems? Why not check out Patchwork Poetry today? Its actually helped me to expand the way I think about poetry. It uses the more logical side of your brain when you write a cento, I think. I feel like a poetic engineer!
Happy Birthday, Noah!
PWB would like to send birthday well wishes to Noah, a PWB member who posts at Noah the Great. Leave your best wishes and thoughts for him in the comments section. To honor him, I post a poem he submitted.
XIV. Composition
My poetry
will set me free,
through words and lines
and many signs
that life’s worth it
and not to quit,
though, I struggle,
they do snuggle
around my soul,
show me my role
of writing lies
with a surprise,
the truth within
and cut off skin,
then, dipped in ink
poured in a sink,
and, swirled around
till meaning’s found,
and, I will move
and will improve.
By Noah the Great, all rights retained by the poet.

Blogsboro Poetry Club Poets
If you are a member of the Blogsboro Poetry Club then you already know it is a great way to get your work out for more readers to find. But when I first started posting there I could not figure out how to align left my poems in a post.
I notice some poets are still struggling with that there. You need to align left EVERY line. If you are having trouble making it align left, which I surely did when I started posting there, here is the code you need to use
div align="left">this is where the poem goes /div>
Now before the div align and before the word div add <

Make sure you take a moment to honor our love of poetry by crusing on by the sites of all the generous poets who have shared their work with us. Today PWB is thrilled to share with you a poem from Jeff.
Jeff, a Cincinnati poet whose "Poetry from The Phantom" blog can be found at Poets Who Blog, started writing poetry again last December after a long break. He would like to share the poem that ended his dry spell.

Today, fellow poets and friends, we are lucky enough to get to enjoy the work of Lissa from Just Writing Words.
New York girl Lissa, with a head full of words but in no way able to bring them out until she discovered blogging, has been writing since 2006 but only recently found her skill as a sometimes good, sometimes bad writer of fiction and all forms of poetry that she dares to try even if they turn out to be disasters that no one can decipher, not even her. She present to you her favorite piece of writing (at least for the moment) - Pieces of You.

Day One of the NPM Project
Welcome to Poets Who Blog's Celebration of Words Project in honor of National Poetry Month.
Today kicks off our daily homage to this craft we love. We start off this exciting month with My Date With Jackson Pollack which you can read at Laurie Macfayden’s Webprint.
Laurie MacFayden has lived in Edmonton, Alberta, since 1984.
She used to read the sports pages; now she reads with the Raving Poets. If she's not pushing words around the page, she's throwing paint at a canvas and wishing she was in Paris.
Thanks, Laurie, for taking part.
