Come on in, the water is fine.
I don't know where you live but here around Chicago it is starting to get chilly, and right behind that will be downright cold. But today I have the luxary of being able to slip away somewhere tropical and warm. It's Tuesday, poets, have you been to The Writer's Island?

I grew up about an hours drive outside Chicago (in NW Indiana.) Where are you at (if you don't mind sharing?)
I grew up not far from the corner of Route 30 and Route 41. I still live in the Chicagoland area.
Are you off to warmer climates? Every winter I wonder why I have not left yet, myself.
Nope, I'm in the cooler (and less humid, thank god) climes of the northwest now. I grew up in Merrillville, and the location you described is either Schererville (where my grandparents lived) or St.John. Am I close?
Right! 30 and 41 is located in Schererville.
I don't know that I could move somewhere cooler, like you have, but less humid sounds like heaven.
Well, it's still hot here in the summer, but it's bearable without the humidity. It gets downright frigid in the winter though. It is truly a small world when I keep running across the paths of other people from the same small corner of the world I grew up in.
