I'm looking to make sure there are still readers for this blog. Out stat meter used to be over 100 people a day and now its at 5. Are you still interested in seeing PWB stick around?
Does stat meter not measure RSS feeds?
Well if you are still a reader of PWB then let me know. I've already written up posts for the rest of the month so PWb will be here all of July.
I suppose I'll reevaluate what to do next month to either attract more readers or possibly let the site go dormant. I'm not sure what would cause a drop off of so many readers? Any ideas?

I'm interested! I have been largely absent from blogland in general for the past couple months. I'm just getting back in the swing of things. I will mention you in a post!

P.S. Hey, I had a poem published in a 'zine!
i've added PWB to my RSS feed a few months ago and yes, i am definitely interested... so please keep on keeping on... :)
i don't think statmeter registers RSS feeds.... maybe the weather is the culprit and people are spending more time outdoors.
it's problably just a temporary thing... :)
I subscribe through google reader... not sure if that shows up in your stats.
I, too, use an rss meter. I do read what you post every day.
I think many people use feed readers and also blog reading tends to slow down in summer. Hang in there!
Sara! I check the blog every day!! Please don't let it go dormant. I'm not the most internet-savvy person around so have no clue why the meter has dropped, but hang in there, there are lots of people who rely on you I'm sure :)!!
I'm here everyday too. It's a great site.
Thanks for checking in. I'm just going to assume site meter is messed up and more than five people come by each day. I don't mind keeping the site going for a few people but if the readers really went from 100 a day to 5 a day, well something must have gone drastically wrong around here. But I don't think it has. We seem to be motoring along as usual, to my way of seeing it.
I really do want PWB to grow bigger and better and, most of all, more useful. So I thought it was a shame that we could have went from being on track to being so very off track.
Hopefully that's not the case.
Thank you all for supporting PWB.
Sara
heya! just wandered over here, can't believe i never came across this blog. well then again, i'm not that great when it comes to searching on blogger for other blogs. i do not understand what is going on here, but i am interested! i will read your posts and hopefully figure it out :)
I did upgrade to the new blogger format recently. I wouldn't think that would throw off site meter though.
I had been holding out for like a year on upgrading because I didn't want to deal with redoing the blogroll.
Sara
Dragonraid,
Thanks for stopping in. We are a link exchange site. If you link to us, we link back. We also try and bring to light the blogs of talented poets and to share poetry news. Once in a while we do poetry projects like Poem a Day in April or 12 Days of Christmas with Poetry or Add a Line Poems, Poetry Carnivals, etc.
If you decide to link to us, please leave a comment and let me know.
Blog Manager of Poets Who Blog.
I'm definitely still interested, please do carry on! I didn't have a home computer for most of the last six weeks so haven't been around anyones blogs as much as normal but i should visit you every day again now...
I'm still here, also reading along in my RSS reader, which I'm fairly sure that statmeter does not register. You might want to check out feedburner for an RSS feed you can keep an eye on.
Here all the time. You do wonderful work. Hope you'll keep it going.
Grant
Sara, I am using your blog six or seven days a week. Please don't go dormant.
i check in on every post. more often than not, i am clicking in on the links and not directly to the blog.. so i am thinking that rss feed readers do not show up,, as that is how i get here...
o ok! sounds like fun! i'll add the link then :)
Thanks for checking in everyone. I have no clue why the site meter numbers are so low but I'm just going to ignore it. As long as people want PWB around then we'll be here. Hopefully you all we'll be able to celebrate our second anniversary with us on Jan 5th, 2009
If you know anyway to improve PWB let me know. I'm up for ideas. Thanks for supporting PWB. Even though I do make the posts, the site doesn't work without all of you.
Sara
DragonRaid,
Welcome to PWB!
I've added you to our blogroll.
Sara
I still read! I haven't posted a comment or anything before, but I do read. I use a feed reader.
I think RSS feeds aren't counted. that's how I read posts here sometimes. I usually check daily. I'd be disappointed to see this go.
I read your posts everyday, it would be very sad if your site went dormant, I hope that you do continue ;-D
Yeah, I check your site whenever I can and I love all the links you list here. I think PWB does exactly what it says on the label. i.e. it's a place for Poets Who Blog to come to. A rescource that would surely be missed if it were to fold. And of course writerwoman, you're doing a wonderful job!
Better late than never ... but I definitely still visit here regularly ... usually every day and yes through RSS feed ... I really like PWB with all its links ... so please keep up the good work Sara!
I know I visit PWB probably every other day. I check for news and other stuff.

P.S. I enjoyed the last jigsaw poem. Any chance that there will be another similar type thing on PWB anytime soon?
Thanks for checking in everyone.
Nicole, sure we can do another tag poem. I'm not sure when. Probably late July, as I have the scheduled blogging set up to fill in posts for all of the month already.
I'm a consistent reader too, and loved working on the last jigsaw challenge. Thanks!
This site has been very useful in the life of my own blog, as I am just starting to explore this realm! Stick around, yo!
I definitely check in and read the posts. Still very interested in this page.
Sara,
I do love this blog, but during what should be a calm summer, unexpected work projects have been gobbling my time until I can hardly write, much less read. I hope you will bear with me (as I head off to an Internet-free vacation)!
-- just read through the other comments and it sounds like you will! yea!
I think it's a temporary thing if indeed it is a drop-off in readers, or RSS that doesn't tally every visitor, Sara. Please hang in there - you'd be greatly missed by me and many, many others who drop in daily, frequently, twice a week, weekly, and you get the picture. *laugh* Some are more consistent than others, some have more than one blog, some are brain-dead during summer's long hot nights (that would be me), computers that up and die (that would be me) and so on. I'll help get the word out, too..:) Oh, and like everything in life, there's that cycle thing and "wave" analogy, too heh heh
